Hillary's Clinton's Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe
1 1/2 Cups All-Purpose Flour.....................1 1/2 Cup granulated Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt............................................... 1 tsp. Vanilla
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda .................................2 Eggs
1 cup Shortening .......................................2 cups old fashioned Rolled Oats
1 cup firmly packed ...................................1 pkg. (12 oz.) Semisweet Chocolate
...Light Brown Sugar ....................................chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease baking sheets. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in large bowl. Set aside. With an electric mixer, beat together shortening , sugar, and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy. Add eggs, beating until light and fluffy. Gradully beat in flour mixture and rolled oats. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop batter by well-rounded teaspoons onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden. Cool cookies on sheets on wire rack 2 minutes, then put cookies directly on rack to finish cooling!
